Tasting Notes

Hobgoblin5.2% ABV 500ml bottle and can, 5.0% ABV in cask

Hobgoblin is a powerful full-bodied copper red, well-balanced brew. Strong in roasted malt with a moderate hoppy bitterness and slight fruity character that lasts through to the end.
     

Deuchars IPA is hand crafted in the original Victorian brewhouse. The malt infusion and hop flowers are boiled vigorously, in Britain's last remaining direct-fired open coppers, imparting a unique flavour to this exceptionally refreshing late-hopped ale.

Timothy Taylor's Landlord
A Classic Strong Pale Ale, Landlord has won more awards nationally than any other beer: This includes four times as Champion at the Brewers' International Exhibition and four times as CAMRA’s beer of the year. Refreshingly reliable, nationaly renowned, this full drinking Pale Ale with a complex and hoppy aroma has real "Pulling Power" and stands out in any bar as the ideal regular.
4.3% ABV

London Pride is a smooth and astonishingly complex beer, which has a distinctive malty base complemented by a rich balance of well developed hop flavours from the target, challenger and northdown varieties in the brew. At 4.1% a.b.v in cask (4.7% a.b.v in bottles)London Pride is an ideal session-strength premium ale. Its flavour has been likened by Stephen Cox, beer writer and former campaigns director at CAMRA, to 'the sensation of angels dancing on the tongue...'!

  

White Horse Brewery

Every village has one!!Village Idiot, 4.1 % - In every pub throughout the land there resides a village idiot, sometimes we are really lucky and have more than one. Even the most foolish will recognise this distinctively golden beer, only the finest hops are in our dry store but some maniac has tipped them all in, creating an explosion for the senses. Thankfully the hops are well balanced by the finest Yorkshire malt and a little wheat malt which smooths the path to real Village Idiot serenity. Only one word of warning. If you try too many the pump clip acquires a somewhat mirrored finish!

Black Horse Porter, 5.0%

The Black Horse Porter now joins the stable of hearty beers from the White Horse Brewery. Full bodied in taste this dark rich porter has a pleasing balance of roasted grain leaving you with a fruity smooth aftertaste and a slight bitterness of the finest kent hops.

The power of the blacksmith is legendary so this beer combines the best ingredients money can buy and the skills of the traditional brewer to create a hammering good beer. Deep red like the fire at its heart and balanced with buckets of aromatic hops its enough to give other brewers the hump. 4.4%abv
